Not sure if the outside barrel diameter is the same.
Have an early model 12 barrel and need to install an original bead sight on it.
Was wondering what size drill and tap would be correct for this job.

Total humper.... cartouche not right and too far foward on stock.Heatsheild has been replaced with repro.And no WP proof on the top of the barrel.And people are bidding on it... I guess the humper...
Mark, nice looking example. did you make that lug looks to be made of steel not cast like some repros i've seen.
I take it the guard is repro alot of work on that one.

From my personal observation on these guns remington cut the long modified 26'' barrels down to make the trench guns.
Maybe these pics should shed some light on the subject.Both are model 10A trench gun barrels cut from modified barrels.There are no cyl stamps on the side of both these barrels.Serials numbers...
No barrel markings.Jack Morse has the only other marked 12 trainer that i know of.
Tom, The gun is a WW1 trainer, has the correct nickel steel barrel but might have been replace or blued.The serial number range is 171xxx would have to look in safe for exact number.
