I have only seen '49 and '50 dated 6-groove barrels.
Did the ones produced later on also have the marking on the bayonet lugs?
...
I shed a tear over the dewat.

Now onto the next build. I think we are talking in terms of years to collect the bits and pieces to complete this. As you can see - much work to do ....
As for the "2" on the barrel - I believe...
Jim,
Thank you very much.
Below is the Aluminum buttstock, followed by a non-textured CAR Fiberlite buttstock, and then the textured CF Green ... that being said you can feel the weight...
The rubber butt pad on the right (with some wear on the inside) ... clearly black.
The one on the left is off a Colt Canada C7A2.
...
Great point and question. This one had a rubber butt pad with it but as noted definitely not in original condition. Here is another pic with the 2-position extension.
...
This is not exactly in original condition ....

I can comment that in Canada (I live in the area where these where made) a matching '41 rifle with early features can easily exceed $2k. With the more uncommon parts or a lower serial number rifle...
Could not agree more.
The '41 Long Branch can have some unique features. Do you know the serial #?

Hope this...
Just for reference this one is on a 9mm SMG upper ....
