I also have a Remington 513-T. It does have a noticeably longer bolt handle and also a much easier bolt lift.
I have a Remington 512 with what I consider to be a very hard lifting bolt. I always thought that it was just my rifle, but maybe not......
Good evening. I have a Lithgow SMLE .22 that happens to be a JJCO inport. It appears the rear sight is not indexed correctly when compared with the front sight and the knox form flat. The rifle...
I believe the standard round during the latter part of WWII was M2 AP as well.
I sectioned one of the AYR M2 AP rounds. It looks exactly like the one Skip showed. A file will only scratch up the surface, it does not create a cut in the material. I filed the AR500 plate and...
How would one determine whether it is a tungsten alloy or just a hardened steel penetrator?
The ammo used was M2 AP (AYR lot 28, headstamp 56) made in Norway by NAMMO-Raufoss, recently sold by the CMP. The plate is a target made and sold by the MetalMan. 3/8" AR500 hardened steel.

I've posted this on the CMP forum.......
The other day I tested some of my M2 AP (AYR 28) against an old 3/8” AR500 steel target. The target was hung at 200 and 100 yards with the back of the...
Bad chamber? Please elaborate. Do you mean the chamber mouth was damaged by firing pin strikes from excessive dry firing?
You are correct Rick. The "s" on that stock tip is 1/8"

Rick, do you discount Brophy's Springfield Armory Inspector with AAJ initials? Did Augusta then have two different AAJ inspection stamps as shown on the above stock?
Thanks,
Tom
There are actually three stamps on this stock. The stamp to the left of the first AAJ is BHM.
Here's my stock with two different AAJ inspector stamps. Notice the difference in the J's. Stock has script P and small "s" on the tip. I believe one AAJ is early Springfield inspector and the...
in hearing about possible reasons for the M1922 misfires.
I have a M1922MII that had the same problem. My firing pin tip had a chunk out of it and I was only getting half circle strikes on the...
Here's a picture of my 1903 stock with BHM stamp.....kind of hard to make out but it is BHM

I see that the front guard screw hole is drilled all the way thru the recoil lug bearing surface of the stock (4th picture down). Is this a characteristic of Rock Island stocks? I have a stock with...
According to Brophy, the M2 bolt uses the same mainspring as the service 03. Can anyone confirm this?
I think it may be a rear sight from a Ross rifle.
I attended this auction today. Lots of good stuff. Picked up a Springfield M1903, SN 1269006 with SA 8/38 dated barrel.
Anyone else make it to the auction? The Air Service magazine with box...
