Lastly, here is a Stevens 620 Trench. Not quite as nice as the other two but nevertheless a respectable example....

BR marked rear sight. Sorry don't have any more pics of the buttplate, my PC is fried so I was just taking a few with the iPad. I actually am clueless about butt plates, they all look the same to...
No kidding, this one hurt!
I sold the S'G in about 40 minutes on another forum
Here is a thread that shows a real Colt WW2 box
$900 for a COLT WW2 M1911A1 shipping box!
A few pics of my only Rockola carbine. Except for the missing sling swivel, I believe it to be an original gun....
Scott
Awesome pistol! Curious if it has had the National Match treatment to the internal parts, ie polished sear, sear spring, hammer strut etc??
I like the comment about finding a Rockola in a junk stock at the next gun show, i think putting a carbine wearing junk stock into this junk stock would be a lateral move.
$3000 worth of boat anchors!
This one on a 1.76 Rockola has two welds.
Nice untouched carbine, i would be proud of that one! That serial number block is fairly hard to find, especially in an original gun.
Is that rust and pitting on the slide? If so that really takes the value down quite a bit.
Thats about what i was thinking it was worth, I figure I will keep the box until I find a matched gun WW2 Colt in its orignal box. The Gov Model cleaned up pretty good with a little Flitz'n. The...
Now that i have your attention, I was at the local shop and saw a S70 Nickel Gov Model sitting on the shelf. Tag states it has the box. So I ask to see the box and they hand me a original WW2 Colt...
I think maybe I will open them and put them in and out of a pistol about 1000 times, you know-just to give them some history.
These arent all recent buys, Dad said he bought these for...
Two of them were opend before and sealed with scotch tape so I gently opened them. One NOS General Shaver and a Risdon full blue WW2 contract. The other are sealed. Shall I open them or leave as...
Hi Scott
Is there any knowledge of why the earlier parkerized pistols are lighter in color? Could it be a different supplier of the finish solutions? Just wondering if anyone knows what occured...
Here are a few more pics of the pistol in outside light

and I'll spare you the 'how much is it worth".
The parkerizing still has the sparkling bits seen only on very new guns. Whats amazing is that the pistol had NO oil inside or out, it was...
Thought I would try to wake up this section with this stunning 42 Colt that is in near new condition. Came with WW1 holster and two mags, one WW2 CR marked and a two tone L marked WW1 contract....
This carbine is another example of a very correct and mostly original S'G' 3.58 that had its flip sight removed and a adj sight installed. This carbine also got the straight hammer and spring...
The rear sight has the staking notches on the right side, front and back. You can also see where the dovetail was staked for a flip sight at one time. 35139
When the North CMP store had carbines, I made many, many trips there to look at them. I can remember seeing tons of rebuilt carbines with thier adj sights NOT staked in place at all. I own a mint,...
a few more pics...
Note the proof and stake marks are 'through the finish' and also take note of the odd finish of the bolt. I didnt know this until an advanced collector informed me, but SG bolts...
