Agreed, used AR by contractors, not worth it, even if it was true. If true, Chances are the weapon has been dunked and soaked in JP to clean and possibly followed up by scrubbing with break...

Doesn't look like its for ammo. It appears to be thermal lined, shock resistant and or weather proofed. can you get a pic of the diagram inside? Could be for comm gear...?

I too live in NYS, but have the ammo shipped to another state, a short drive later, I am resupplied. Problem solved.
