I shot a little ammo through it. Definitely a .22.
I came across a Bl-22 Browning 22 caliber rifle that has a 24", octagon barrel with proper browning marks on it and the receiver looks like a grade 2 type. Appears tp be a recently made gun, not an...
Looks like they are reproduction parts to me.
Thank you for that info. No, I didn't change it. Just had a feeling that it might be original.
It just looked it. Once in a while, something weird happens with carbines.
Thanks again.
Thank you.
Can anyone tell me the approximate date that a Winchester carbine ser. # 6468001 was built?
Thank you
Not interested in selling, but maybe in buying if I could afford it. Would like to compare some of the parts if its a complete carbine.
To whom ever has carbine, or receiver, ser # 3639493, please contact me via P M. I believe I have one with a consecutive number.
Thank you
I've got one.
Contact me by p.m.
tried to send you a PM but not sure it went through. Seems someone changed the system recently.
I have both parts. Will try a PM.

Great picture display. Thank you.
On my Bavarian, the rear sight is attached to the rear of the barrel, just in front of the forward edge of the receiver. It is attached with a gold colored metal that I believe is brazed. The rear...
Yea, but they are hard to find too.
Thank you for the help on the barrels. I'm glad to hear that one of them might be original.
One barrel is a Buffalo Arms dated 9-43 and the other is a Underwood dated 9-44.
Neither has a punch mark, just a stamped P
Is it known what time period they did or did not use the punch marks?
Did NPM use the proof punch during their entire period of production or just for a certain time period?
They have the N marked below the serial number but no sign of a sub contractor marking.
I just came across two NPM carbines that were built with Underwood receivers. The word Underwood was lined out but the serial number was still used. The numbers were 276xxxx and 277xxxx. Can anyone...
A bayonet lug on a Underwood 10-43 barrel?
Just trying to teach an ole dog a new trick.
