Thanks everyone. I pulled the magazine apart and compared it to one that works. Everything looks good. Spring Ok Carrier and follower look OK it seems that the follower and carrier do not go far...
Checked the spring it looks ok and seems to have plenty of power. I looked at a schematic and the part that flops around is the carrier. If you have any other ideas please let me know.
I have picked up a couple of bubbazized Krags for cheap and now find that one of them will not feed. I took it apart and can see nothing wrong. The spring appears Ok as do the rest of the magazine...

Back in the day SRS showed this rifle in a batch of them. I understand that when the armory built them they used rifles in consecutive serial numbers. They all showed as NM

Have more but think this is one of 803 new rifles that year since the barrel date and the serial # match up.

My experience says no crimp necessary. You need all cases to be exactly same length so it only adds an extra step to check or trim and results are not any better.
