I'll seen unsupervised rifles mysteriously pop an empty clip during inspection arms. Nothing like the dinner bell going off and making the inspection an unqualied success. Frank Jr.:yikes:
Just a note on using M1922 barrels for the conversion. There are two different types. The earlier one are made from a dedicated M1922 billet so they will have the full length of the standard M1903....
I have serial #97B. Any ifo on it. Frank Jr.
Yes Fick it can be done. I used to do it but the supply of M-2 barrels dried up. I still own two conversions and one M1922. One .22LR is as a standard
1903 service rifle but with a Lyman 48 long...
Tom I have serial 1018085. Just a few number off from yours. Frank Jr.
Parashooter are you selling these chargers. It would help with my rapid reloads during the matches. Here's a photo of my "match" rifle. As I remember the Krag was a good shooter but the military...
I found a great 100 yard load using 12.5 grains of Long Shot with a 150 grain FMJBT .308 bullet. I am shooting low master class with a Krag with a M-14 NM front sight and a Lyman 48K rear sight. The...
Goo shoots and functions very well. Had one of the Instructors from the Air Marshal's program out shooting it. Felt recoil like that of a GI carbine. Using 110gr FMJ carbine bullets. Working on a...
I few years ago I executed a design exercise and built what I called a M214 rifle (214) it being smaller than the M-1A(M-14). It was chambered in the .308X 1 1/2 Barnes which is now marketed as the...
It looks like the barrel that was hand tight is a two piece barrel from the drill hole in the photo but that's another set of issues altogether. Frank Jr
Collecting FM23-5's can be like collecting the different makes of clips. Earlier editions have more info Oct 1951

Thanks steel that's the site I was looking for. I found one of the clips with the "wheel" stamped into the center ring. Manufacturer unknown at this time. Frank Jr.
I remember on the older forum. One of the posters had a web site with photos of his M-1 clip collection. I just picked up up a few interesting one's but no WRA's. Anyone can help. Thanks Frank Jr.
I noticed the M1923 belt is modified to take the M-1 clips standing on edge instead of laying flat. More clips per square inch I guess. Frank Jr.
I have one that I got off a customer that was a DCM gun. Couldn't find anything about it from the Carbine know it alls. They just wanted to buy it. I called Tony from Orion 7 and he asked me if the...
