There were some that were smooth-bore, they were for blank firing and training. Likely not heat treated at all.

It's a "registered conversion device" made by S & H (Curtis Higgins IIRC). It fits the semi-auto sporters, and is one of the main reasons they're so expensive.

CMP will run the number for $25, but they're backed up.
There's a guy on the CMP forums that can tell you if it was scrapped or what not, I don't recall who though.
