What would be the significance of the yellow paint?
Hello!
I was hoping a few could look at these pictures.
I am looking to pic up a new to me enfield.
Looks to be Maltby 1944. Looks matching. I am just not sure on the paint? It seems the...
Within the past few months I purchased a matching enfield made No1 Mk3 1918 for like $600 shipped (maybe 50 too much) with a very nice bore. Last month bought an all matching No 1 Mk3 LSA for $450...
So I was wondering if anyone knows of any rhyme or reason to why or when a older enfield was selected for FTR.
For example, I have an enfield factory made 1918 No 1 Mk 3 that has the original...
So I assume we can post completed auctions.
Am I missing something here or did this go higher than it should have? Cocking piece isn't correct for the year right?

Got out to the range again today.
Tightened everything up and started off at around 25 meters to ensure I would hit paper. With PPU it was shooting about 6 inches low at this distance but was...
I used the wolf 303 bimetal 174 g. I have had great success with it in my ishapore No1 mk3 1943 and my 1918 enfield factory No1 mk3.
Hello!
Recently took my newly acquired LSA made 1911 enfield out. It was refurbed in 1913 and then again in 1941 (new barrel in 41).
Well it functions and shoots but was shooting very low...
Interesting! I don't see any Australian marks that I can see. But who knows. It's all a guess at this point!
Took it out and the back looks like this.
Hmm. The lettering on that disc does look similar. Interesting.
The floorboards are in a house we purchased about a year ago built in like 2004. The owner had specific tastes including the...
Hey All! Any ideas on how to figure out if this unit disk means anything? Its on a 1911 made LSA Enfield.
I believe the 17 on the barrel denotes the year of the barrel. So I would interpret that as the barrel was put on in 1917, the same year the entire rifle was made. I have a 1918 Enfield made No1 Mk3...
Thank you for the reply!
The numbers on each rifle match as far as I can tell. Would the LSA have been re numbered during the FTR?
Hey All! First posting here. I have a pair of relatively new to me Enfields that I would like to confirm my thoughts.
One if marked as an Enfield factory made in 1918 (Maybe 1916?). Looks like...
