Hi all, I have come across some webbing including a sling I want to get for my No4 Mk2, marked as manufactured MW&S 1941 and then also marked ROVER 1945.

Can anyone tell me what the ROVER 1945...

I have a 55 and this is how my rifle is numbered. Butt is not numbered but has some markings indicating year of production/assembly I think (F 55 faintly) - which is nice as I'm planning on changing...
