RIP Jim. I did not know you long, but appreciated the exchange of emails and carbine related items. They will be treasured more for their source rather than what they are.
Tomorrow, in...
I suspect your production theory is spot on.
A 19th century, streamlined process hellbent on maximizing profit and humpa-reproduct-ability. I'd buy one just to rip it apart, but they sell for way...
Man, the person who staked the pins on ALL of those flip sights had a great day! He or she was performing like a well oiled machine on that day and perhaps more.
In addition to the pics provided by Marcus, I've seen a 1.35 I cut with the T, F, RMC and Ordnance bomb marking in the sling well. Circle P on the wrist, Large UEF over GHD in a box, no cartouche. ...
Jim, in this day an age of fake parts and dishonest intentions, it was truly my pleasure to deal with you. You are a rare bird when it comes to honesty and integrity.
Thank you for your service to...
Beautiful!
On the table there are four commercial carbines, what make if the shiny one (second from the right)?
At a recent show, saw a mixmaster IP sell for 3k. Serial number was 1.77 something. Didn’t get a look at the barrel. Had a bayonet lug, adjustable rear sight. Not sure if stock was original but it...
No idea how it works on GB, but on some auction sites, the description AND the pictures are considered to be the description. So, if the description doesn't say something but the pictures show it and...
It's crap and will always be crap. With so many fake parts, it's hard to look long enough to identify USGI parts.
The seller should know better. The buyer should know better. Just because one can...
Chock full of repop and 10k is a little more than I would want to pay, but that mag is really hard to find.
Definitely a great show east coast wise. Much more enjoyable with others. Last time I went, the GCA had a meeting and it was a great learning experience.
Will keep the lengths gone in search of...
No worries, my first meet up with a club member happened but didn't really happen. We were supposed to meet at a show and as usually I was running late. Got there, walked through the first 4 or 5...
For the most part, the show is just like any other show only larger. Another club member and I have been meeting there off and on for about a year or so. Once there were actually three of us. I've...
Pictures? Don't see many nice Standard Products.
Hoping a collector was able to look at them. Link was passed on to me by another collector and I asked if it was o.k. to pass it along. I'm all for road trips, but MI on short notice with one picture...
Just shy of 2k.
$2250
I've seen a few of these and have a question. Is grinding of the receiver before the SN stamping "normal"? Some have a lot of grinding, some hardly any if at all.

Interesting that the letters are stamped on the right side. Rivets are also unique looking. All things considered, $1500 isn't bad. Shame a previous owner didn't know how to remove the oiler.
For that kinda dough, would think at least a few.... or all flips.
Fantastic!!! Hope I get to see that kind of display on the east coast. Maybe Timonium...
