If it let me run normal capacity mags again I'd have them on all of my rifles so fast it would make your head spin.
Nice.
Is that a side mount scope rail?
You're welcome, Jim. If you find any laying around, you can send them my way. My boy wants a x39 upper now, too. He figures he can shoot off my stash and I won't notice. ;)
I've got about 300 steel-cased Czech and Chinese corrosive surplus and Wolf and new Norinco non-corrosive M43 through it now. Zero issues. I even managed to win my division with it at the 3 gun match...
Can you expand on that or is it just a personal "rightness" thing?
NEA had a rocky start due to issues with outsourced parts quality. They've gotten much, much better. They've got a lot of haters due to their early problems.
I currently own two NEAs including...
I got my new NEA 7.62x39mm AR out to the range this week. It functioned perfectly on Czech and Chinese surplus M43, with new production Chinese M43 and with Wolf HP.
It's not the run of the mill...
I only bought two cases of it, so not that much shooting.;)
I've got lots of Czech and older Chinese surplus to shoot off first.
It's not really surplus ammo, but it certainly works in plenty of surplus and military-style rifles.
Here's a few pics of some ammo I just received. Prior to this batch, the "newest" Chinese ammo...
It's not gone yet, by a long-shot.
I'd have just chopped it down and installed a free-float fore-end on it.
That looks beautiful, Bill. I'm sure Jeff will love it.
Are you looking for just the bolt, or the complete bolt carrier group?
That maybe valid for forged lowers, but when you count in billet lowers it's way more than eight manufacturers.
Heck, there's 4 that do billet lowers in Canada.
I'm going to send it back tomorrow. Thanks for the offer.
When I was a kid, the gun club had a stack of old American gun magazines from the 50's and 60's. Every magazine had at least two articles on some sort of sporterizing.
Frankly, I'm amazed any...
No, I don't have any 1911 spares on hand, other than the firing pins they sent. In retrospect, it was a probably a good thing it crapped out. I would have been the only guy shooting Heavy Metal at...
Don't think so. They sent me replacement firing pins this week and they won't even insert far enough to get the retaining plate on.
Merle,
Someone has to start it. I started rifle then 3 gun matches here from nothing, by myself. After almost 10 years I still do the match design and organization, but at least I have enough guys...
Already did that once, Jim.
Managed to get everything free and clear by polishing the firing pin up. When I attempted to disassemble it last night, I had to use a punch to get it to move far...
Bah, my 1911 crapped out. The firing pin is jamming in it's channel. No Heavy Metal for me tomorrow.
Back to my Glock and AR, I guess.
We've got a bit of a privateer 3 gun circuit in my area, now. After years of running matches myself at my home range, a couple other clubs have started running them, too. At the matches this year...
That's a Dlask lower. Machined in Vancouver from imported raw forgings, AFAIK.
HMS Defense was a Minotaur class armoured cruiser. The last of her type built for the Royal Navy.
