Picked these up last weekend. Liner and bug net have matching "H-28" on them. Anyone know the significance of this? Also I am not familiar with this particular "bug net" i realized it was worn over...

Have had this for some time and have no idea what it was used for, or what it held. Case is right at 3 feet in length, leather outer shell/wood inner structure, is british military and is pre WWII....
