I went over it, nothing that says "330 scope - M.8" I or anyone else could find. Worth noting from the screws someone was in it at one time, given the heads look rough.

Some pictures of the scope. Body finish is pretty warn, scope is...
Long time no see! After a year of getting into more modern guns I've gotten back into C&R stuff again. I've committed to a Remington 1903A4, fairly late in the initial run being in the 17,000 range...
I got one at an auction for $30. The magazine disappeared so a clever individual made one out of a block of wood. Looks convincing.
I have a later one with a plastic stock, the handguard is...
Were those new built guns and actions or was Navy Armys recycling surplus and just refinishing/scrubbing them when they refit the stock and barrel? That's pretty neat.
Interesting they went with 9mm instead of 4.6mm-5.7mm. Was the 9mm part just for prototyping the action or was it the intended caliber of the weapon? Different projectiles?
One thing is for sure, keep stuff like this in mind in 20-30 years when the Garands have run dry and people are dreaming up ways to repurpose drill rifles into usable guns.
That isn't a knock on...
I was looking at mine today and wanted to add something.
Instead of a serial you may find an assembly number that won't match the serial but will be present under the barrel. On my specific gun...
Before even getting to cartridge and ammo selection discussion I am going to take the AR15.
You can do almost everything from 10 to 300 meters (maybe a bit further) with a single properly equipped...
Sorry it got missed.
For future reference on Yugo guns the serial got electro penciled on a lot of various parts. What also got stamped onto a lot of parts were NATO style stock numbers. The...
I've always been fascinated by those guns. I suspect with that ammo it will shoot quite well, the Austrian Hirtenberger is top quality.
The information has been circulating a bit on the decision but haven't seen much trials data. I am slightly disappointed that it seems like until cartridges themselves go obsolete the actual...
Can't say much on the symbols. Congrats on the gun, nice that it is completely matching.
Not the shop you got the Czech from.
I have a love hate relation with Renningers of Denver. I rarely make in time to the outdoor market so can't comment much on that, but whenever I go inside I...
After this week I now know what it is like to have your kind of weekends. They're great  A local gun shop decided abruptly to shut their doors with June 30th being their last day. At the end...
I missed this post somehow, apologies for the late reply. So do you have any thoughts on potential dirt ingress when locked back and if it is an issue or not? Always something I wondered about, no...
Photobucket in their infinite wisdom has decided to no longer allow third party hosting, their primary reason for existing, unless you pay $400 a year for it. So on top of the adds, popups, and...
First time shooting this gun, first time shooting this gun with that ammo, or neither? If it works fine with other ammo and only does it with that stuff I'd bet on the ammo.
Also, the bulk...
Prices will always be lowest when they hit the market in bulk and are easy to get. When that supply dries up and people know how many are in the market place, prices go up as they are no longer...
The BHO is in the mag itself, the catch was just modified to better secure the mag.
It depends on the system to me. On an AK I HATE BHO mags because it makes it more difficult to get the mag out...
I think effective this year they cut them to 8. I'd almost say that for a period of time, 6-12 months, they have a certain grade and price point open only to new buyers to give them a fair shot to...
I really like the idea of the takedown models with the integrally suppressed barrels. Magpul makes a really slick stock for them too that kind of combines it all nicely into one package but I...
I bet if you put that in a good free floated stock it'll be a tack driver. Those are great triggers, and adjustable. Looks like it may have been drilled and tapped for a peep sight at one time, a...
I believe Ruger does make a 5 round magazine to comply with certain US State hunting requirements. I've never seen one.
Edit: They are just a rotary mag that only holds 5.
K31 and as many cases of GP11 as you can get. If you get one matching with a good bore (and most are matching with good bores, don't settle for less) it'll almost certainly be a great shooter. ...
