Were these ever used as trench guns during WWI? I know that the 520-30's were eventually used during WWII, but I haven't read much of anything in the way of the double hump 520's.

Hey all. I was just curious if the takedown models of the 1897 trench gun (with the bayonet mount/heat shield attached) can be broken down without removing the bayonet mount? I know the Stevens 520...
Got'cha. Wouldn't happen to know the size taps I would need off the top of your head, would you? Also, the stock came with the cross bolts and rear guard bushing installed. They're just really rusty...
What do you mean by that? Sorry if that's a noob question but this is my first M1903A3 and I've never had to tap any other stock I've had.

Definitely will. I also picked up a really nice, new M1 Garand stock set that I'll be doing.
