Thanks Jim,
I actually didn’t know what I had when I picked it up. With help from fellow members, I realized it was a fairly rare fighting knife.
I’ve also picked up a couple M9 bayonets since I...
JimF4M1s,
Nice Woodman's Pal!
I'm pretty sure the "living in the Jungle" booklet wasn't issued with the original LC-14-B Woodman's Pal. In addition to the tool itself, two booklets, (the orange...
JimF4m1s,
The date is 1981.
The knife belonged to an Air Force pilot friend and former military school student of my father. He served from 1977-1997 and flew the A10 Thunderbolt. He was...
Nice rifles Rick, congrats!
I can't get over how nice the stock is on the 1903. Very nice indeed! Thanks for sharing.
Sounds like a model LC-14-B Woodman's Pal. They have been a military issue since 1941 through Desert Storm. I've got one from 1943, does it look like this?.........
I don't consider myself a collector of military edged weapons but over the years I've picked up a few here and there if I thought the price was right.
I recently bought a Case M3 and in my search...
Thanks SKIP, I appreciate the info.
Ya know, I don't consider myself a bayonet and knife collector. Yet, I've seem to accumulate a few over the years, I think I'll take some photos and post them...
SKIPH,
Thanks for the reply. The CASE is without a doubt stamped and the corners of the E and A are sharp and crisp (well as much as they can be considering the condition). I did a little more...
I've got a Case knife that I'm not quite sure what it is. It has a parked blade, smooth leather stacked handle and a case marked on the guard. That is the only markings I could find on the knife.

Mark1... Yep I hear ya. If I've learned one thing about 03's and 03A3's it's that anything is possible.
RBruce...Any more information about your pic?? Looks like mine only with different numbers...
Could it have anything to do with this rifle being presented to a cadet upon graduating from West Point? My reason for asking is because this rifle belonged to Major General Henry Randolph...
Ya know sometimes I can't see my nose right in front of my face! LOL, I'm spending all this time looking for the cut out in the stock, I didn't even notice it had no grasping grooves!
Is it me or is that the wrong stock.....I couldn't see the cut out in the stock from the pics provided (too much shadow). I sure hope for all that money the correct stock would be included!
I was wondering if any one has seen these stamps on a 1907 sling frog before. The sling is original to a 1923 National Match rifle. Any help would be appreciated.

Great pics...Thanks for posting them!
Ok,
Here are some more pics of some of the rifles pictured in the group photos
This is the Springfield Model 1922 MII it was originally an MI but sometime in it's past it went back to...
Thanks for the welcome guys, here are a few more pictures of the National Match 03 and a little history behind it.
The rifle belonged to Major General Henry Randolph Westphalinger who received it...
Hello all....
I'm John and I've been collecting firearms most of my life. I'm particularly interested in military surplus weapons. I live in "The Peoples Republic of Illinois" (don't hold that...
Hey all, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I'll post something on the new member introduction thread but I picked this forum because it's where I'll spend most of my time. Some of you...
