Welcome to the carbine group 3sky. I must warn you that buying and owning carbines is a serious sickness that gets worse with every new purchase. You will find a good group of carbine people on here...

Zipper, you might try leather dye from Tandy Leather Co. I used it with good success on several birch stocks which had refused to "take" other types of dye. Good Luck..
