I was looking at the P-H fitting instructions on-line and it looked to me like they were saying to use the original axis pin. I even made sure I was getting enough "bite" through the threaded stud on...
I found a used P-H 5B sight today and installed it on my P-14. It did not come with a replacement sight axis screw.
What sort of surprised me was that the original sight axis screw was plenty...
I bought a P-14 the other day and noticed that the rear hand-guard was serialed to the receiver.
Is there any significance to it at all? I only ask because a friend who knows his way around Brit...
It's just a click away if they really wanted to know but I'm not Mr. Hall Monitor. ;)
1907 Sling Installation - Civilian Marksmanship Program
Now if I could only find me a P-14 that did not look like 20 miles of bad road with a bore to match I'd be set. I have not seen a P-14 I'd be willing to spend money on in many, many years. :(

I found this Eddystone at a local pawn shop for $400.00. It's mostly Eddystone with a couple of Winchester parts added....Still a mixmaster.
Winchester yellow birch replacement stock. 3/18 barrel....
I know, old thread but I also have a RIA barreled M1917.....They are around but there were so few barrels made (2100 and not all were used) that folks don't tend to believe it.

Sort of a shame. :/
I found this Pattern 1888 bayonet (Wilkinson, London) someone converted into a "fighting knife" yesterday at a yard sale for $2.00.
Promo.....I've took it apart twice for pics so you will have to use those I took.
I did take pics of the marks under the scope block holes when I had it down as i knew that was one of the things...
It's looking like it's a former USMC Special Target Sniper converted to a service rifle competition rifle.
I picked-up a NM configured M1903 rifle today. I gave a clone price for it ($500) and would like some opinions.
I figure that at best it's some type of "rescue".
First off it does not have a...
I found a Quality Hardware M1 carbine that has a brass disk on the bottom of the pistol grip that reads: State HQ...72...Mass. NG.
I was just wondering if anyone had seen such a disk on a Carbine...
I found this M1917 helmet at the flea market yesterday for $65.00. Looks complete other than the paper tag.
Oil skin liner marked H. H. Long 18-7. (July of 1918)

That might explain why the SA ownership markings were electro penciled on the sight I put on the #2 MK IV. The sight was new in the box and the box read Made in England.
I read somewhere (it may have been on this site) that the South African Military took their target shooting seriously. I wonder in what capacity the sights were issued/used.
I'm sure finding two...
I've no real plans for it right now, I bought another SA marked P-H 5A (new in box) a couple weeks back that I put on a #2 MK IV.
Perhaps I'll just wait till I find a SA marked #1 MK III and use...
I picked-up this mummified SA marked P-H 5A rear sight today. Even the fixing screws/spring were secured on it with wire and sealed in. From what I can see of it the sight looks new.
I'm sorta...
Hi all, first post.
I picked up this unserialed (except for a 57 stamped on the receiver) Woolwich out inspection stamped Mossberg 42M-B at a local shop. It also bears a P in a circle proof.
