Does anyone know the thread size of the No4 firing pin and cocking piece?
My guess is it will be about 6" high at 100 yds.
Does anyone know the thread size used on the No4 bolt head/bolt body connection?
The L42A1 and L39a1 use indexing washers on the barrel installation, so the bearing must be on the front face of the receiver.
I would get rid of that rifle and buy a complete original rifle. You will be money ahead and have something worth having in the end. IMHO.
If you are going to be flying jets this week, you can certainly afford to pay someone to do the work properly.
IMHO they would have renumbered the mount if it was paired up with the rifle in service. The scope and rifle number was added to the inside of the can. I doubt this would be done with a mismatched...
The slide is a type 2.
It is not a mk3 judging from the offset turrets. It sure looks like a repro in the last picture.
Looks more like 1949 to me.
The bullet shape is what I was wondering about. I have never seen a bullet with a step in the ogive like that before.
Does anyone know what this is?
Could you kindly tell me any information you may have on Enforcer serial number 395.

I restored a No4t and started shooting it with repro scope and mount. Accuracy was okay, but nothing to get excited about. I put an original Mk2 scope and mount on the rifle and groups shrank...
This has happened to me in response to WTB ads as well. Fortunately, with this exact same crook, I asked for specific pictures that this dumb *** couldn't find on the web and provided pictures of...
Zeiss Diavari ZA 1.5-6X wanted. Looking for a complete functional scope or a donor scope for parts. Please let me know what you may have.
Looking for a Canadian No4Mk1TP scope and mount to purchase. Please let me know what you have.
My concerns is the upward pressure exerted on the barrel diminishing over time with the forestock under constant load. I believe a piece of wood will change shape over time with a constant force. I...
Is there any benefit to somewhat loosening the front trigger guard screw on a properly bedded No4 rifle for long term storage?
Looking for an original Canadian military Lyman Alaskan scope and Griffin and Howe type mount for Canadian sniper rifle.
Making firing pins may be simple, but it certainly isn't easy. It is also very time consuming and requires a lathe and vertical mill.
What does this stuff actually do?
