How much does this effect collecting value?
What is origin and purpose of yellow painted numbers on butt stock? Still learning and think I have a long way to go!
I understand some SC bolts were unmarked. Is it possible a Remington 1903 could have an A3 SC bolt in it?
Thanks for the reply Rick. Handle is bent but see no markings.
Did Remington ever use unmarked bolts in their early transitional 1903's?
Thank you so much for the information.
Can anyone give me information on a Victory lend/lease with LCK 38 P stamped into back side of grip frame? I am familiar with all other markings of revolver but cannot find history on this one.
Have not purchased it. I might give it a run. Not knowing much about them, I thought it might be a little more unusual and a nice WWII addition to US/British collection.
Thanks. I thought it might make an interesting addition to my collection.
Looking for information on a Remington 1903 transition rifle with a 4/42 barrel that has British proof stamps on side of barrel and receiver. Never seen this before.
Thank you so much

So if it is a Springfield 03 it will have a finger-grooved stock? Anything else is replacement and non-Sringfeld.

Looking at two 1903's with two different stocks (both straight) but one has finger grooves and one does not. Was there a transition time in manufacture? The earlier one is without the grooves. ...
Thanks Scott. It was advertised original and correct which I questioned when I saw the checkered stop.
I am looking at an early 1944 Remington Rand 1911A1 SN 15xxxxx. Should the slide stop be serrated or checkered or could it be either? No sign of re-arsenal but thought correct would be serrated.
I am looking at a Remington Rand that appears original but there are two letter stamps on right side of trigger guard I cannot trace. A "T" and a "Z" with the T above and Z below.
Have tried every way possible to upload pics. I give up
Will try to get a picture posted
I will try to get a picture up. I have a webley with the war black finish but this is different.

Thanks for the help. Does anyone know why some Webleys look like they are painted black?
Can anyone help me locate parts for a Webley MK IV? I need the spring steel clip for the right side release lever behind cylinder. Thanks Grandpa7
When the M1 carbines were updated with adj rear sights, was it common to seat the sight in the dovetail with what looks like a center punch? I was looking at one that had 3 very pronounced punch...
