Brown-Lipe-Chapin did not make gas cylinders. It almost certain that B-L-C shipped barrels to Inland without the gas cylinders installed.

Well Chris what does the BI stand for in the pics above? Is it part of the barrel, or gas cylinder? How can you determine the barrel manufacturer? Inland or BLC? If the BI is a gas cylinder marking?

All I see is Inland inspector marks on bottom flat of barrel, no BI, so must be Inland barrels?

The BI is clearly stamped on the gas cylinder, which is swaged onto the barrel. Don't you have NL 346? All your questions are answered in that newsletter.

The gas cylinder was made by B & P Motor Sales Company (page 6 of NL 346). B-L-C barrels have BI on the barrel flat, Inland made have hieroglyphics in the same location.

Yes, I just figured that out from newsletter 346..it was confusing me at first.
I guess all my barrels are *Inland", as theres nothing else below the flat, except symbols
