I came across a 1971 DCM sales NM M1garand type ll with paper work. It had all the proper markings of a 1963 as well as the form and fit of a well built NM except it was missing the NM on the gas cylinder and the last four s/n to receiver written in white on the floor plate of the trigger assembly.
Using reference material JC Harrison, GCAand American rifleman related articles. My question: The buyer did not make any changes or modifications of the NM M1 garand, the paper work calls it a NM M1 garand, but with mixed matched parts would it still be a NM if not to NM standards?
