Almost in my grubby little paws
In September of 2013 I was lucky enough to buy a Model 1917 Enfield (4908XX) remanufactured by Miltech in 2011. The original Remington receiver was made in Feb 1918. The price I got it for was $1150, good price considering it was in as new condition, maybe fired 20 or 30 times. The bolt face was still pristine.
The only problem was it was chambered in 270 Winchester, made for a guy stationed overseas who could not get it in a military caliber.
Soon after getting it I sent it back to Miltech to have them install one of their Criterion match 30’06 barrels. Yesterday, I was notified it had finally been shipped back to me and I'll get it Thursday or Friday of next week. I am very excited.
Something that might interest you all is the sight I decided to mount - a Parker Hale 5B sight in excellent condition. It will make a nice mated to several of my Lee Enfields with Parker Hale sights. Very cool.
Pics will be posted as soon as the rifle arrives.

He 's too busy shooting it. If it shoots better than my 1917 Remington with JA barrel it is indeed a fine shooter.
