Been relisted so you have another 6+ days to wonder about it. The RMC and the bomb are correct for the serial number but I don't know what the other two marks are.
The rear sight seems to be just sitting in the dovetail and not centered. The recoil plate doesn't seem to have much wear on it compared to the rest of the carbine. The letters could be MO or MaO as well as MD or MaD. But the stock has been sanded and looks like a Tung oil placed on it? But it is early and number 11,171 produced by Underwood.

Thorin6,
Had grabbed a 1378,xxx that had the same slingwell markings... except the small bomb. His did have the large boxed UEF over GHD stamp though.
Checkered safety on his also.
Here a link to it:

Appreciate the help Bruce, And yes she's been sanded, Wondering if a Boxed UEF/GHD may have become saw dust or Was it ever there?
Marcus has shared some albums of early ones I can look at. Too tired tonight, Will do so Sunday after the hospital and hopefully the electric staying on....... Big Winds, ice, snow .......

NICE T F in the sling well. Absolutely correct. Some of those early stocks did not get the boxed UEF/GHD marling. I've seen them both ways. As for the sight not being centered, if it was properly sighted in, I wouldn't be a bit surprised see it off-center.
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!

Marcus piled on a bunch of photo albums to me of originals made before and after this one.
I've been struggling for time trying to soak them all in.
Also have seen the same sling well markings..... but most have the boxed GHD/UEF and separate CC.
The examples I'm looking at have not had the stocks sanded. More as I can get there, like seeing a mix of checkered and smooth safeties.... just before and after this one.
But with that said I have plenty more to look at and write down.
Thx

The thing being sanded probably explains the lack of cartouche. The large box UEF stamp (with or without CC) had pretty thin lines and I bet was susceptible to be sanded.

In addition to the pics provided by Marcus, I've seen a 1.35 I cut with the T, F, RMC and Ordnance bomb marking in the sling well. Circle P on the wrist, Large UEF over GHD in a box, no cartouche.
Never really thought about it, but the box was pretty thin. That marking is something one never forgets, if you know what I mean. Barrel date was 11-42, I think, but it did have the large P barrel proof.
