What can you do with a pile of scrap...
So i was told maybe it was time for me to post a few of the projects i made in past years.
Ok … why not
A few years ago i found an original SMLE cut away bolt for sale… i thought it was interesting so i jumped on it.
Not long after that i bought another lot and there was a scrap barrel in it.
That made me think that i might have just enough scrap parts to build a full wood cut away rifle.
Now keep in mind that ALMOST EVERYTHING on there was scrap or undesirable to use on a live rifle.
The very few parts on it that are still good are untouched and just waiting for the right scrap one to come along and be switched.
I would be happy to go over each and every parts and tell you what was wrong with it but i'll just post pics of the end results instead.
The moral of the story … don't throw away anything, you never know who might need and use it.

The rear sight protector and the nose cap were in good shape and have been changed since these pictures were taken.

Wow …………………………..
Booootiful !
Takes a bit more than a big hammer, a bent screwdriver and a rusty hack-saw to produce something of that standard.
Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...
