OK, I'm going to put on my tinfoil hat for a moment. Has anyone heard of this (below)?

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Of course. Who do you think staffs military confinement facilities, such as those at Ft Levenworth and at Guantanimo? Most of these personnel are in the Reserve components because more are needed to run POW/Internment facilities during war time and not that many are needed at other times.

The only thing new here is that you are seeing definition, refinement, and enumeration of duties required of this MOS.
Thousands of Soldiers and Marines are and have been doing these jobs for years in places where bad people are interned.

Air Force and Navy personnel do the same jobs usually alongside the often vaunted soldiers and Marines.

Just when I got used to calling civilian prison guards "corrections officers".

I just figured that in the military it was something similar.

But, "resettlement"? That sounds like something out of George Orwell, or maybe Dr Ezekiel Emmanuel's college term paper.

  8. Thank You to Neal Myers For This Useful Post:
