The rear sight is a Redfield 102 sight. The serial number looks to be restamped. This is a low number receiver.

Ouch!, That hurts my eyes to look at. Take a look at the bolt markings, the bolt might have some value as well as the milled trigger guard. Salt Flat

If you don't part it, it'd be a good candidate to teach your son or yourself refinishing. The wood, metal the whole nine yards, nothing to lose.

thanks alot guys i know bubba did a fine job on this one. to me it looks like it was a c stock? Trigger guard is milled an he did not mess with that. bore looks good little dark but might clean up. rifling looks kinda light to me. will try an get some better pictures. Why would they buff off the name area? I can understand serial number change if that what happened. Going to make a chamber cast to make sure what caliber it realy is too. thanks for all the help. mike
