20mm Oerlikon
Just taken this in to the fold bit of info for you the projie fuse cap has MK - 26 - 1 RM and what appears to be a small doughnut after the M, though it has been marred so cannot really tell, also the projectile body has 4 - 26 D (Denver or Dummy?) 9 - 42 (which I gather is the DOM of the projectiles body).
The base pic has a monogram but which maker is this one, I also have another 20mm prac base marked 43 NECO M21A1B1 with a steel case and steel projie marked FSP LOT 9829 - 15 9-42 with the copper driving band which was often removed from surplus ordnance after the war due to the copper shortages.
Any information you can give is always appreciated by me. Thank you

Too bad about the holes. I've always preferred live...sometimes that's not feasible. I was lucky and was given a live 25mm bushmaster from Afghanistan that came home in a tac load vest pocket. Cleared the guns after a practice and the bags were gone so into the pocket. It's a practice blue projectile. Very nice piece...and a spent 12.7mm Russian
projectile from out in the area from back in the Russian attempt back in ...'78?

Very nice ones Jim the Mills 36's are now going for $450/AU over here when you can get them and the grenade launching base plates for about $150-200/AU I was lucky in assembling my 36 over a period of time and by pure ring the base plate is the same YOM as the grenade how flukey. Oh yes! and one more thing I was given 2 WWI cases one a Dusseldorf and another non descript just dated and have never really taken much notice however the other day I was looking at their bases and what do you know the Dusseldorf is 1914 and the other is 1918 that sorta sat me back a bit pure a*se there

That's just an off hand pic of the stuff still out. I had to put my collection away years ago because people couldn't keep their hands off. Kind of inconvenient to get at. This time I had to take a pic though...maybe I should do some close ups...

The other hard part is keeping them like you said untouched and having to dust them and around where they sit a right pain in the primer

Yup. Try the little Swiffer dusters. But it won't help with the small ones. Just the larger...

Well, perhaps it's Birmingham Metal and Munitions Co. Ltd., Birmingham, UK
...? My list doesn't specify what calibers are involved... It sort of makes sense to me though.
Headstamp Codes - International Ammunition Association
Here's another site that says the same way down at the bottom. Have a good read here... Uscenter

One other 20mm Question
I have another from 1942 which is a K2 but of interest is the projectile in the pics you can tell the tip is of a different material than the projectile body sort of a bluey tinge to it and smoother. The tip has also suffered less from the oxidation process that has the body also there is a join between the two. What ever definitive markings it may have had seem to have disappeared along with the driving band. The closest I can seem to get on investigation was it may have been blue and designated SAIP - Semi armor piercing incendiary projectile any thoughts
