1909 Peruvian Mauser
Just picked up a beautiful 1909 Peruvian
Mauser yesterday. Learning to deal with rifle regulated at 400 meters. It's a fun rifle to shoot.

Not 100% sure about Peruvians, but typically the 400 applies to the battle sight - can you flip up the rear & see a shorter range?

Great rifle. I love mine. Had a higher front sight installed and now it is a beauty to shoot.
Also, 7,65x53 is a very pleasant round to shoot. Kicks moderately, but still with authority.

400m is the minimum on Peruvian
Mausers with the Lange Vizier rear sight. Copied directly from the Germans with the Gewehr 98s.
