Huge amount of WW2 relics recovered - WW2 Treasure Hunters TV show
Hi all
Thought I'd share the relics recovered during the filming of episode 3, season 2, WW2 Treasure Hunters. We were searching an old ordnance depot in Weedon, UK
, and recovered a huge quantity of WW2 relics.
There are a LOT of pictures, too many for the forum, but I have posted a group shot below and a link to the blog where you can view all the finds.

Lots of stuff we can recognize, including a very bent Sten...

It's actually lots of parts laid together to look like a complete (bent) one.

How does England
treat old ammo? Does it have to be surrendered to authorities?

Certainly does if found, it has to be turned in, unless its on your certificate and it comes from a legally recognised source.

Unless your a collector of ammo and its on your ticket IIRC its 3000 you can have.......no size limit unless its armour pearcing or expanding.

I see an Enfield rest, Bren breech blocks, Bren Drum Mag and winders, Sten Mk2 Barrels, Bren Barrels, Browning 1919A4 barrels, a Vickers Barrel, Sten butts, Enfield parts, 07 bayonets.......
I dug there with Steve a few years back and got some nice Lewis Handles as well as some Vickers, Bren and Sten parts. One of the brass but discs was numbered 177 and this is now fitted to my Inglis Bren serial M177 which had the disc missing.
