I'd pass on the sight/sights and as far as the barrel bands go, whenever I see a large quantity pictured it screams steer clear to me.

Makes me think all "artificially aged" bands - even with new "unused" screws. Been wrong before, though! - Bob

Currently offered .U. Flip picture:
US GI M1 Carbine Flip Sight Underwood (.U.) | eBay

You can only search Flip Sight sales back 12 months thru his Feedback. Search completed and yields 17 sold in the last year. One buyer out of 17 realized what he received.
Open his Feedback and Type in Flip Sights in the Search Feedback Box where it say's "Vintage 70's Gibson Guitars
Feedback Profile
Beside his constant use of recycling pictures, countless numbers of the same parts always available (see feedback items) and never any use of the words Real or Original in his descriptions. And add no returns. I wouldn't send him a Dime.
Lastly: Would you like a Large S or Small S on your Humped Flip Sight ?

All here’s the response from the seller.
New message from: blackhawk240
It is a stock which comes from the French
army (same the barrel band replaced by Bayonet holder).
These flip sights were replaced by micrometric sights during the Indochina War.
I have sold several of these flip sights and all buyers have been satisfied.
Now if you don't believe me don't buy them

bumpers
the flip sight, front sight, trigger guard and butt plate are the bumpers of your collector gun-if those wear patterns and finishes do not look kosher run from it

Under most kitchens sinks you'd find whats needed to Faux age. No tips from me though.

I am not sure the picture is going to post. But anyone who has a bunch of similar patina Rockola WW II flip sights is too crazy to believe. Notice similar patina, New pins no wear to the end of the pins. Springs have the same look no difference from the lots. No discoloration. Not sure of the hole size? O and I have a trunk filled with matching Rockola carbines from an old Army bunker. I love the smell of BS in the morning
