Passing of Tim "Bear" Rarick
I'm terribly sorry for the delay on this sad news.
I received a PM from Jim "BAR" and have been trying to figure out how to change his profile but neither Bob nor I have those site permissions. Badger had an issue with his email but I was able to talk to him this morning. Badger is going to change Tim's profile.
Below is Tim's obituary.

Better late than never. Thanks for that. I was in Ft Wainwright AK with Tim in January 1975 during an exercise "Jack Frost". He was with the group that hosted the composite company from Victoria and we mixed into their unit. It was just a short time, about fifteen days or less than a month...and then we meet again here forty years later. I noticed when reading a thread he hadn't been here for some time and when I checked he'd died right after his last post. From his obituary, he was an upstanding and well respected member of his local community. Here too...RIP Tim, see you soon enough.

It didn't seem that long ago that he had posted about his Airborne Helmets and his plans for them. I had Bookmarked it because it sorta hit home for me. The part about splitting up his collection to his Kids and Grandkids.
From this Post back in 10-22-23, mostly his reply #4

"Yes, I will be keeping helmets, however, my timeline is short so I will be dividing up my helmets to my children and grandchildren. Don't think St. Peter will let me take them."
Maybe he had a feeling?
RIP BEAR
