    1892 Lee Metford MKII Restored

This came to me in a deal but missing most of the 'good bits' but at heart it is a NZicon marked MLM with its original barrel (which is pretty roached but there is a spiral in there)

So with the good bits of an earlier restoration i've smartened her up. The forend has had an extension with an original tip which I found in a box of junk.

Nice work, very neat...including the seldom seen "Wiping rod" installed and sight cover.

Yeah the clearing rod is a repro. Point of note regarding the first pattern sight cover, they just fly off after a few rounds! The second pattern one clips into place behind the sight block.

Even a repro rod, most don't have them. Whole thing looks good like that.
