    Firing pin interchangeability

I was reading that you can use a type 99 firing pin, spring and safety knob to replace the type 38's firing pin, spring, and safety knob. Is there any truth to that because it would save me a lot of time and money.

I think there were 3 different types of firing pins in the Type 38 rifles. At least one of the versions has the same shape as a T99 pin, but I do not know if they are interchangeable.
