    Enfield No.7 Mk 1 .22 Trainer

    Good Day,
I visited my in-laws early in the year and went to a local show where I stumbled upon a Enfield No7 Mk1. I feel certain that it was one of the ones that Springfield Sporter's brought in years ago and assembled from various original parts. Additionally, it came with a PH8/53 rear sight aperture although I'm not certain if its not an older Sarco reproduction. Even though I wish it were all matching, these rifles come on the market rarely and with a price of under $1K, I went for it.
Last year a fellow board member had an L42A1 and I happened to have the original serial numbered magazine that went to it. After some back and forth conversations, he ended up with the mag and now has a "matching" L42A1. If someone has the original parts to mine, I would appreciate talking you about some form of a trade.
My receiver is BS2180, the magazine is BS1129 and the bolt is BS0987. If anyone want to trade. Please let me know.

    Michael

Rear sight is not correct. Looks like a Mk1 BSA with a Parker hale 8/53.

    Good Day,
The son of the original owner said that his father had shot a lot at his local club with the rifle and thought he changed the rear sight at some point. I'm probably going to leave it at is since the whole rifle is mismatched. How would the "correct" sight be marked?

My one has a Harmonised sight and this is how it came straight out of a RAF Museum which disposed of some of its weapons Collection, originally I think they had standard No4 rear sights and at 25yds you set it to 200yds, for 50yds raise by 8 clicks & at 100yds raise by a further 9 clicks.

PM me for the correct rear sight. I had one plus some other bits taken from scrapped RAF No7's when they were still in limited service with RAF cadets etc
