Hello; I recently purchased this 1911 commercial mfg in 1919 and would like to get an idea of the value?

Hello frankie. I have one exactly like yours.I have been trying to find out about it for 20 years.
The C on the trigger guard is non conforming as is the finish(darker than usual).Hold on to it,
as I believe it is a rare configuration.I have discussed it a couple of times on 1911 forums usgi, as they have the heart shaped cut outs
    2nd quality Colts
I have pics on Photobucket (bob2777)
I have come across several over the years but most are in what I call poor condition. There are a couple on Gunbroker right now search Colt 1919 ,look for the C on the trigger guard.

Is the C located above the Verified Proof mark on the left front trigger guard?

I found an image on 2777's photobucket account, but I don't think it is right for me to post a link to it here. Serial number is C115XXX... The "C" is on the right front trigger guard. I think this is a Colt assembler's mark, but according to Clawson's book, by September 1918 the letter codes were replaced with numbers.

Nice very nice! My favorite 1911 pattern! If I could only have one this would be it!
