    Bolt disassembly ?

I have a new bolt body. I need to take off the ring that holds the extractor from the bolt body. I haven't been able to find specific instructions on the removal and reinstallation of the part. Any one have tricks or cautions I should follow. Thanks.

You pry it a part just enough to get it to slide off the bolt. They bend very easily and then they are hard to keep rounded to the bolt. I know this does not help much but I bent one of mine once and you could see where it was dragging when you open and closed the bolt. Glen

wiggle a flat screwdriver in the center, after the extractor is removed, you can pry it apart enough to slip it over the bolt way.
you may want tp pick up a pair of extactor pliers from Brownells, they are a must for 17,s 03,s M70s Ruger 77s ect, with a like type extarctor, money well spent!!

After the collar is back in place, but before installing the extractor, I rotate the bolt, tapping the collar with a plastic hammer at any high points. Takes some patience, but it is the only way I have found to seat that collar fully without any bend in it.
