Paul is that a Cherry stock???
I don't know what the wood is but it has a cherry wood look or finish. Pictures are included of stock and cartouche.
Ruth says that when Rock Ola ran out of Walnut they started using Cherry. If it looks like Cherry and there's evidence they used Cherry then it's probably Cherry! Whatever it is, it's the finest Rock Ola I have ever seen.

If you want to know if it's Cherry or not then take the buttplate off and look at the wood under the plate. I have seen some interesting, still undecided debates about whether it was a Cherry, Walnut or some other wood used on a particular carbine stock.
