Yard sale US M7 bayonet ponderings

I found this bayonet at a yard sale. The scabbard looks legit. The bayonet looks legit and has proper numbers on the handle panels underneath. There is a gap on both sides of the handle at guard and pommel as I have seen before. The guard is only marked USM7 but no manufacturer mark. Whatdoyathink?



This picture (below) is from a website about genuine M7 bayonets (the M4 guard on left, M7 guard on right) with the same markings as my bayonet has or lack thereof.



I thought all manufactures marked the guards opposite the US M7? Who made my bayonet? Is there a company who committed their marking?
