There's thoughts that all the changes that were put forward for the M1 were held over and assembled together. Thus the M14 emerged...

Maybe even a Norinco 305. Looks like the flash eliminator is solid, no slots...let alone bayonet lug.

My Norinco is an "M14s"...an early one before the label of "305" came into use. Regardless, it has a normal slotted flash eliminator. Never to see the light of day again, unfortunately.
