Unexpected Improvements - Cross Influence Between Pistol And Rifle Shooting?

    Good evening to you all,

after a long time, I have lately (5-6 weeks) started shooting with handguns again.
Using them I'm a bit upset by the fact that I can still be very accurate, but as soon as I relax a bit, I start pulling the shots.
I'm working on my trigger discipline now.
Well, after starting to shoot handguns again, I somehow started narrowing my groups with the rifles. I had been improving slowly in the last year, but the last two sessions have brought me a sizeable step forward.
    Anyone ever experienced this?
Since I really like both things, I think my better half will have to work a bit more on her patience and tolerance toward a never growing kid

I believe one makes you better at the other. Different techniques obviously , but the same basics of sight alignment and trigger control.
Both a lot of fun as well.

It's a perishable skill, more practise make it better. As long as it's correct practice...sounds like it is.
    Regards, Jim
