about eight or nine years ago I bought a 1903 barreled action (cheap). The low
numbered action was manufactured in 1915 and the SA barrel was dated 1921. The
barrel was burned out, not possible to salvage the bore. The receiver only had about 40%
of finish left over. Starting to look like "junk".
I found a man (there are others too) that installs quality 22 rim fire liners and a extension
for the liner at the rear of the barrel. Just have to buy a Springfield 22 rim fire bolt (they
are not difficult to find) I bought one of the later M2 rim fire bolts that has the adjustable headspace.
Once complete, I was very impressed at the targets, this is an accurate combination. I did
remove a coil to improve the trigger pull.Attachment 64117Attachment 64118Attachment 64120Attachment 64121Information
