AR for ammo tests

Been scanning some old photos today. Thought this testbed might be of interest to some.

The machine rest was originally built by Fred Sinclair as an unlimited benchrest rifle. Later it was adapted to receive several top ends for ammunition testing to 500 yards.

This photo was taken while setting up for a .223 test with (probably) Federal GMM .223. I tested a truck load of .223 ammo when Federal was working hard to produce good mag length ammo for various purposes.
