Just FYI - there are now reproduction stocks for the M1912 Carbines available. You can check them out here:

If you happen to have a sporterized carbine then this would be a great idea to bring it back to its proper military look. I am not affiliated with them - just a happy customer!

M1912 Carbine

I had an example brought to me years ago that had a damaged stock, wanting it restored. I got the carbine stock and fitted it, looked about original after. Very nice results.
