ar-15 rear sight replacement

I have purchased a compass lake rear sight and wish to replace the rear Colt sight with it. I have no instructions and am tempted to try it, but wouild feel safer with some step by step help. Anyone. My direct emialis kstein@abington.org. Thanks in advance, Ken

Rear sight disassembly begins on page 164. The TM is written at about a 5th grade level, so it should be pretty easy to follow. If you have any problems, shoot me an e-mail through the board.

Be advised, there are three small detents (ball bearings) and springs in the rear sight. Take care not to lose them.
