    Webley Mark II revolver

I recently acquired a Webley Mk2 revolver,( unfortunately converted to 45 AR/ACP. darn it.)
serial number 401XX. Any idea of manufacture date ?
grips are attractive, but not original.
Back strap markings which I assume are issue history are
    B.A.

Nice looking piece. Love the Webley and Enfield Break Actions. No help on marks though. May be a Boer War Piece....

1894-7, I think were roughly the years of production. (Or acceptance for production, which isn't always the same thing.)
