You got a good deal on your carbine. I attended a medium size gun show last weekend and similar carbines were priced from $1295 to $1500. Those were the (3) USGI carbines I saw, all with a mix of early and late features. The other (2) at the show were a New Inland M1A1icon (used) for $995 and a late Universal for $499. I ended up buying only some carbine ammo - S&B for .36/rd and ACI for .32/rd. The same ammo dealer had CCI 45ACP "Blazer Brass" at $200 per case of 1000. As I got ready to leave I went back for a case of the 45ACP, but the price had gone up to $250 - still about 1/2 of what the CMPicon shows on the E-store. Just noticed your carbine has a PU Highwood stock with a few cartouches - nice! Have fun with it, but see if you can get the sling on with the snap facing away from the stock and handguard - looks like it's causing some wear on the wood. - Bob

    Real nice,
Stole it for that price especially from a gun store.
Careful pulling that sling tab out. I've had to hammer some D tips so they'd pull thru.

    Congrats

ps Happy early July 4th Detroit !
