    Some older headstamps.

I attended a show last few days and was given some ammo of varied caliber. Some was mixed headstamp .303 and I thought I better show you...specially Cinders because he always gives me crap for not showing what's new. In this case there's a couple of old CDN pre WW1...and one I didn't get but already have was a gallery lead bullet Canadianicon issue. Another was a .41 Swissicon Vetterli rimfire cartridge, perfect shape. Nice Swiss marked on the head and was perfect shape...

Anyway, two pics of the same ammo so you can see the head stamps. Click on the pic and they should expand nicely.

The "Z" denotes Nitro cellulose powder.

I don't have any tracer in there at all. All but the five at left, obvious non military are ball ammo. Click on them to bring them up and then they expand again with the little box and arrow icon at the bottom of pic. A couple are nice and old. If you were standing here, I'd hand them to you...shipping's a pig...

Yep won't happen my friend as shipping live ammo here is a no no and probably is in Canadaicon as well those early DAL's would be a nice addition it is a very gracious offer Jim as you know I am the bower bird personified though not to the amusement of my wife now that things are getting squirreled around the house.

Get the usual "Whats this doing here" yell, Reply "Wow good on ya love, I have been searching for that for ages geez your a gem." then when the coast is clear put it back there till next time ahhh the beauty of it all.......................!

At the show one dealer had several large boxes, maybe 40 rds each of what appeared to be .303 but was marked 7.7...left me wondering if it was Jap or just a metric marking. I have no images of course. The very early headstamps are the most interesting to me of the ones I gained.
