    Dry Rot

My #5 has some dry rot along the barrel channel. The wood is just crumbling. Any Suggestions would be welcome.

If this is a rifle you just want to save any wood you have left then get yourself a can of " wood hardener " by MINWAX. Follow the directions and you'll be OK. Buying a can of this stuff is cheaper than another stock. If, however, a good portion of the wood is already on the floor then I would start looking for a replacement stock. As others have said in the past, pictures help.
